Staying in the Dragon Zone RESPECTFUL-I am quiet when the teacher is talking. I do what is asked of me, without arguing. RESPONSIBLE-I have all the things I need. I am ready to learn! COOPERATIVE -I can work well with others. I can take turns and share. It's all about TEAMWORK! SAFE-I walk safely to where I am supposed to be and play on the playground equipment the way I should. I make good choices. |
Mrs. Asher's Classroom Management
We are using “Good Behavior” cards as a system that will help students take responsibility for their own behavior in the classroom.
Here's how it works: We will use our “Dragon Zone” rules for behavior expectations. We have a chart set up to track each child's success. Everyone begins the day with the green “Good Behavior” cards in their pockets on the chart. Students who forget to follow the rules must replace their green card with yellow or red cards.
*A green card means”You are doing great! Way to go!”
*A yellow card means “Caution, slow down and think about your behavior!”
*A red card means “Stop and think about what you are doing!”
*When all cards are pulled the parent will be contacted. Depending on the circumstance the behavior may result in getting a minor infraction which will need to be returned with the parent's signature.
Each day your child will color in their behavior report on a card on their calendar. Please take a few moments each day to talk with your child about what color their card was for that day. The card will come home at the end of each month glued to the back of his/her calendar. Be sure to praise the “green” days as this means your child has followed the rules all day long! Your praise will encourage your child to work toward even more green days in the future. When your child has 10 days colored green he/she will be able to join me for the Friday Lunch Bunch and eat their lunch in our room
Thank you for your support!
